Azzurri wins Rider Cup The
NJX Azzurri (92/93 Boys) won the Rider Flight of the Rider Cup June
19-20 at Rider University. They went 5-0 with 15 goals for and only 5
against to capture first place. The highlight of the Azzurri march to the
Rider Cup was when Senior forward/midfielder,
Alan Konovalov
scored 4 goals in the first game on 6/20. Coaches
and long-standing players agreed that this was a first in the history of the
Azzurri.
Xtreme Win State
Cup
The NJX Xtreme (98/99 Boys) won the USYS
National Series State Cup Championship 11/1/09. The NJX Xtreme U11 Boys
defeated the Den of Lions 3-0 in the final. Congratulations to the
Xtreme, Rich Pekmezian (Head Coach) and Brendan Wall (Manager).

Stallions Scholarship awarded.
Senior Angela Pento
was awarded the 2010 Holmdel Stallions Scholarship. Angela graduated
from Holmdel High School, where she finished as the second leading
all-time scorer, 1st all-time assist leader and 2 year varsity captain.
Angela will attend The College of New Jersey this fall and plans to
major in Health & Exercise Science - Teaching Track. She plans to play
for The TCNJ Lions Woman’s Soccer team which has 3 Div III national
championships in the last ten years
White Fireballs
Support Breast Cancer.
The Holmdel Girls U-12 White Fireballs spent May showing their support
to families that have been touched by Breast Cancer. This is a mission for the team,
as some of the moms have had personal experience with this disease. The
coach
spoke about the philosophy of the team and the importance of showing
support to the team’s families, both on and off the field. Flowers &
gifts were
presented to the family members touched by the disease. The team dedicated all of their games in May
to the White Fireball family members affected by this disease and wore pink socks with their
uniforms all month to show their support.

1992/93 Azzurri, will hang up his cleats and retire from coaching in
July after 12 years leading the team. See

on his successes,
dedication, and his selfless service over his coaching career. Jim is a
true ambassador of the game.

go undefeated
The NJX
(01/02 Boys) Inter, Coached by Paul Golden, earned an unblemished record
of 10-0 in each of the fall and spring NJ Coast league seasons while
scoring 88 goals and allowing only 14.

Hazlet Ukrainian Nationals Invitational
The Roma U-9 Girls Captured the Hazlet Columbus Day Tournament
Championship in Oct 2009.
